The Paso Robles Children's Museum is hosting a grand opening celebration for their new outdoor play area, Hero's Park, on October 11, 2015 from 11am to 4pm. The grand opening includes FREE admission all day and is sponsored by The Paso Robles Rotary Club.
This new, learn-through-play exhibit, intended for children of all ages, will include an antique fire engine and custom made clubhouse designed and built by local specialty treehouse builders, Daniel’s Wood Land. The interactive play area will also include outdoor exhibits to engage the children in physical play. Picnic tables will be included in the outdoor area and will be perfect for snack time, lunch, or for caretakers to use while the kiddos explore.
“We are excited to share our new and much anticipated, Hero's Park, with the children. This interactive play area will encourage the children to Learn and Play in a fun and safe environment. The support we have received from Museum donors and local business has allowed us to create something very special. The fire engine was donated by Alice Griselle in memory of her father, Sherman Griselle and Daniel's Wood Land has really made it into an amazing play structure. We even received a donation of an antique firehouse bell from Paul and Dorothy Deis, they were celebrating their daughter’s life by giving back to the community. What wonderful gifts we have received!” Jennifer Smith, Executive Director.
Hero's Park sponsors include Paso Robles Inn, Lindamood~Bell Learning Center, IQMS, AllTech Services, Adelaide Inn, Daniel's Wood Land, Wright Landscaping, J. Wilkins Artscape and San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors.
